Abstract

The peak in the study of macrofungi in Paraguay in recent years has marked a before and an after in the fungal history of the country. The need for scientific information in mycology encourages the study of protected areas in order to publicize the funga of the country. Four field campaigns were carried out during 2019-2020 in the Ybycui National Park, resulting in the identification of 31 families and 77 species of basidiomycetes and ascomycetes. The family with the most representative members was Polyporaceae, with 15 species. Fourteen new species were cited for Paraguay.
