Proposal for the scientific journal of business sciences of the Universidad Nacional de Canindeyú

Abstract

Scientific journals are fundamental tools of the University to communicate scientific findings to society. The objective of this research is to describe the proposal of the scientific journal of Business Sciences for the Universidad Nacional de Canindeyú. The research methodology was based on a qualitative approach, non-experimental, descriptive design. Data collection was documentary; 9 national scientific journals were reviewed. The inclusion criteria were multidisciplinary, open access and national journals, published by National Universities or Scientific Society of Paraguay. Based on the results found it is obtained that of the 8 National Universities, 7 have scientific journals, of which the National University of Asuncion leads the number of scientific journals, and all are open access. On the other hand, the National University of Canindeyú is the last national university without a scientific journal, that is because after literature reviews, inspection of pages of scientific journals, as a final result, the journal of Business Sciences for the National University of Canindeyú is proposed with the minimum requirements such as the name of the journal, objectives, mission, vision, structures of the articles, journal policies, contents, procedures, responsibilities, proposed management team, editorial board and peer reviewers. It is recommended that other researchers seek mechanisms to achieve high quality indexing such as Scopus or Web of Science.
