Thypa sp are used in phytoremediation treatments successfully. CEMIT – DGICT - UNA has proposed the use of this plant as an alternative to the solution of the contamination of lake Ypacaraí. The objective of this work was use Bacillus sp to stimulate the germination of the seeds, increase the vigor and growth of the seedlings of Thypa dominguensis. Therefore, Bacillus sp was isolated from seeds of Thypa dominguensis and two isolates were selected and used for the treatment of the same by inoculation with bacterial suspensions; the seeds were sown and conditioned in the vegetation house for 30 days, after which the evaluations were carried out and it was observed that the plants treated with the bacteria presented better germination percentage, greater length and biomass in relation to the control, demonstrating that the treatment was efficient in stimulating growth and increasing biomass.
