Perspective of Sustainability of rural family farming of the Suizo Cue settlement, department of Canindeyú, corresponding to the period of march - december 2016

Abstract

This research focuses on describing the sustainability of peasant family farming in the Suizo Cue settlement, Curuguaty district, Canindeyú department. In the theoretical framework, emphasis is placed on the concepts of rural development, peasant family agriculture, and sustainability, focusing on the research of the productive model of peasant family agriculture and its local development in the aforementioned framework. In the analysis of the results, the factors that influence the prevalence of peasant family farming in the settlement are emphasized, given the progress of agro business in the local environment and in the Eastern Region. The study is exploratory and descriptive with a qualitative approach. It addressed categories of analysis and dimensions referring to peasant family farming, and sustainability to conclude the need to recognize the small producer as a subject of law, and to deepen knowledge regarding the agrarian issue and sustainable rural development in projection of alternatives for the permanence of peasant family agriculture as a productive model, and improve the quality of life of the peasant sector in the countryside.
