Abstract

Paraguay produces a large amount of organic and inorganic waste that ends up in open landfills. In the Polytechnic Faculty of the National University of Asuncion, an environmental education campaign was carried out focused on the segregation and collectionof usable material where informative posters were used. Collection spots or Eco-spots were installed throughout the area of the Polytechnic Faculty so that students, officials and citizens in general can carry out adequate waste management. This indicatesthat educational action programs should continue to be promoted so that they help raise environmental awareness and generate new ideas for the potential use of materials. With this, we sought to recognize the importance of recycling and separating waste focused on improving social development and the quality of life of the community.
