Abstract
Amyand's hernia is the name given to the vermiform appendix found as the contents of an inguinal hernia sac. We present a 55-year-old male patient with a long-standing right inguinal hernia who consulted the emergency surgical department with pain in this area. During surgery, the inflamed cecal appendix was found to be inflamed. Treatment consisted of appendectomy, while for the repair of the wall it is recommended that each case be evaluated according to the extent of the infection and the patient's condition.
