Abstract
Background: The purpose of this study is to compare the behavior of the Maslach Burnout Inventory-Student Survey (MBI-SS), under three-dimensional and two-dimensional analysis, and the One-dimensional Student Burnout Scale (EUBE) in Medical Students.
Methods: The study is cross-sectional descriptive, starting from the preparatory phase; state of the art, design of the research protocol, followed by the application phase of instruments, analysis of the results and construction of the final report.
Results: Through the MBI-SS and the analysis of its three dimensions, 41 (13%) cases of Burnout Syndrome were identified, the two-dimensional analysis of this same test allowed the identification of 78 (25%) cases, while EUBE identified 76 (24%) ) cases. The study is aimed at professionals and students of health sciences, and social sciences that participate in the maintenance of the state of health postulated by the World Health Organization.
Conclusion: It is concluded that there is no significant quantitative difference between the two-dimensional and one-dimensional analysis, however, both studies show significant difference with the three-dimensional analysis based on the number of positive Burnout identified. Additionally, it was identified that 87% of the study subjects maintain a state of Psychological and Emotional Exhaustion.
