Abstract

This research is an exploratory study about the access to information for hearing impaired people during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is a quantitative and qualitative analysis in which a survey of 70 people was implemented, alongside the opinion of two experts in the field. Additionally, the theoretical construction of this work was based on specialized and scientific literature. The results obtained indicate that there are serious barriers to accessing information about the pandemic for deaf people. Many of these barriers stem from problems with technical resources, infrastructure, lack of staff training, and poor involvement of the deaf community in the implementation of inclusive information content.
