Research Reporting Guidelines
Anales de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas recommends that manuscripts be prepared in accordance with the international reporting guideline corresponding to the study design or research type.
Reporting guidelines support complete, transparent, and reproducible reporting but do not replace the assessment of methodological quality, scientific relevance, or ethical compliance.
The main applicable guidelines include:
- CONSORT for randomized clinical trials.
- STROBE for observational studies.
- PRISMA for systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
- CARE for case reports.
- STARD for diagnostic accuracy studies.
- COREQ or SRQR for qualitative research.
- ARRIVE for animal research.
When applicable, authors should use the current version and the most appropriate extension of the selected guideline.
During editorial evaluation, the journal may request the corresponding checklist or other documentation related to the applicable reporting guideline.
