Preprints and Prior Dissemination

Anales de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas accepts manuscripts previously deposited on public preprint servers. Such deposition is not considered prior publication and does not exclude the manuscript from editorial evaluation.

Authors must disclose the preprint at submission and provide its link or DOI. They must also report any related version, public comment, or publication that could affect the manuscript’s evaluation.

The existence of a preprint does not alter the peer-review criteria or guarantee acceptance. Once the article is published, authors are encouraged to update the preprint record with the citation and DOI of the final version.
