Publisher and Editorial Independence

Anales de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas is published by the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the National University of Asunción. The publishing institution provides the infrastructure and administrative support required for the operation of the journal while respecting the independence of its scientific and editorial decisions.

The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Committee have authority over the evaluation, acceptance, revision, and publication of manuscripts. Decisions are based on scientific merit, relevance, research integrity, and the journal’s policies, without interference from institutional authorities, funders, advertisers, sponsors, or other external interests.

When an editor, member of the Editorial Committee, or institutional authority is an author of a manuscript, that person will be excluded from all involvement in its evaluation and decision. The submission will be managed by an independent editor, and this separation will be recorded.
