Abstract

The article presents a brief status of the impact in the Latin American and Caribbean
region of the COVID-19 pandemic, based on key dimensions such as poverty, health,
education, the labor market and gender, among others. Likewise, some opportunities
and challenges for the future are analyzed from the social sciences.
