This work addresses university extension as an interactive connection with society in the challenge of diversity and interculturality. Initially, the bibliographic review was carried out as an essential function of the universities and its incorporation into the National University of Asunción (UNA) is described as one of its purposes. The documentary review continued the development of university extension in the Faculty of Economic Sciences (FCE), supported by secondary sources, particularly activity reports and institutional documents. The results identify progress as well as concrete experiences in the development of programs executed within the University Clinic in Accounting, Administration and Economics (CUCAE) in order to strengthen the connection between Paraguayan society and the community. The CUCAE is a favorable space that promotes the participation of students and teachers in the development of skills within the community, thus fulfilling the social responsibility reflected in the commitment of the FCE UNA and demonstrated that it constitutes a means to promote a space of confluence between culture and diversity, as a means to strengthen the capacities of community members.
