Abstract
Background:
The Uterus didelphys is a congenital malformation, the result of an abnormal development of the Müllerian ducts during embryogenesis, it presents asymptomatically in most patients, although it can be associated with fertility disorders and obstetric complications in the reproductive stage, such as abortions, preterm delivery, fetal position abnormalities and others.
The case:
This review reports the case of a patient with a uterus didelphis, who obtained a twin pregnancy in the right hemi-uterus, without support methods to achieve pregnancy, from which two healthy products were obtained after emergency cesarean by threat of premature twin delivery in the week 32 of gestation.
Conclusion:
Twin pregnancies in uterus didelphys are estimated at 1 per million inhabitants, but currently only about 20 cases are reported and is a risk factor for triggering the threat of preterm labor.
