Use of personal data (authors, reviewers, and readers)

Names, email addresses, institutional affiliations, and ORCID iDs entered on the Revista de Medicina Familiar y Comunidad website will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of editorial management, peer review, scholarly communication, and dissemination of this journal’s content.

  • No commercial use: these data will not be made available for any other purpose, nor shared, sold, or transferred to third parties (including marketing companies or commercial databases), except where required by applicable law.
  • Communications: registered users will receive only notices related to the editorial workflow of their submissions or, if they have explicitly consented, academic communications from FCM-UNA / Medicina Familiar.

Privacy of research participants

Revista de Medicina Familiar y Comunidad adheres to international standards for protecting the privacy of patients and participants (Declaration of Helsinki, ICMJE recommendations).

  • Authors must ensure that identifiable patient information (names, initials, medical record numbers, exact dates of birth, etc.) is not included in descriptions, photographs, or pedigrees unless it is essential for scientific purposes and written informed consent for publication has been obtained.
  • Where identification remains possible, the journal may request proof of publication-specific informed consent. Without it, the material will be rejected or must be anonymised in a way compatible with the scientific value of the work.

User rights

Any registered user may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data (“right to be forgotten”) at any time by contacting: editorialmf@fcmuna.edu.py.
